Train services have been disrupted as a person has been hit by a train.

East Midlands Railway services are being delayed and cancelled as the incident happened between Newark Castle, Newark Northgate and Lincoln.

Services on the Leicester-Nottingham-Lincoln are only running between Leicester and Nottingham.

The Newark Northgate-Lincoln routes are unable to run at the moment.

Rail replacement has been sourced for Newark Castle and Lincoln to help passengers get to their destinations.

People whose trains are delayed by 15 minutes or more can claim compensation.

Passengers are expected to exercise patience.
