Snow falls in the Newark and Sherwood area leaving parts of Nottinghamshire looking like a winter wonderland over the weekend

Many in the area woke yesterday (Sunday, December 3) to the sight of a winter wonderland as snow had fallen during the night.

Sporting events across the area were called off due to the snowfall.

A reader went for a walk with his family and sent photographs of Newark and Balderton under the cover of snow.
