Snow falls in the Newark and Sherwood area leaving parts of Nottinghamshire looking like a winter wonderland over the weekend
Many in the area woke yesterday (Sunday, December 3) to the sight of a winter wonderland as snow had fallen during the night.
Sporting events across the area were called off due to the snowfall.
A reader went for a walk with his family and sent photographs of Newark and Balderton under the cover of snow.
The photographs include several well-known landmarks after the snowfall and were sent in by Ashley Irons.
Ashley, Jordan, and Callum Irons built a snowman on the grounds of Newark Castle that can be seen in one of the photographs.
Did you take any photographs of the snow yesterday?
Please email them to R.Currell@iliffepublishing.co.uk .
Much of the snow has melted now due to wet conditions yesterday afternoon.
