LEARN MOREWelcome to 2022, a year in which many people will face inflation and an increase in food and energy prices, let alone rises in national and local taxation, in which central government, apparently without an answer, has played its part.
They seem to have no insight into these problems, many due to worldwide problems and concerns, but which concern our need for basic services such as water, oil (particularly in rural areas) gas supplies and electricity.
When I lived on Mersey-side, post second world war to the late Seventies, electricity was supplied by MANWEB (Merseyside and North Wales Electricity Board) which provided its service over a wide and sustainable area.
