Reader’s letter: Repairs were a waste of time

Queen Street adjacent to Morrisons in Newark has been closed for nearly a year for repairs. It has just reopened upon completion of repairs.

I used it for the first time today. What a mess.

Instead of doing a complete resurfacing of the road section whilst the road was closed the surface is a patchwork of mismatched repairs.

The section of the road on the left approaching Northgate is full of potholes!
