Balderton man says flooding on Main Street between Post Office and Tesco Express is worst he has seen in 45 years

A man says the flooding at Balderton is the worst he has seen in 45 years.

Flooding is causing queues and build-ups on Main Street between the Post Office and Tesco Express.

"It is the worst flooding I have ever seen (on Main Street)," said Michael Wilson, of Queen Street.

"I have lived here for 45 years and it has never been as bad as this."

The flooding also shocked a Long Bennington resident, who often visits the Post Office on the busy Balderton street.

Pam Morris, of Shirebridge Farm, said: "I go there to pick up my newspaper almost every day and this morning I saw the shutters were down and the sandbags were out.

"When I got out my car the water was halfway up my wellingtons.

"This is a regular thing that the Post Office has to deal with and it is not acceptable."
