Nottinghamshire Police attends collision involving two trucks and a building at Victoria Street, Newark




Residents were evacuated from a flats complex after a collision involving two trucks this morning (November 25).

Emergency services were called to Victoria Street, Newark, around 5.30am today following reports of a crash.

As a result of the collision, involving two trucks and a building, minimal damage was caused to the property but a gas pipe was broken.

Inspector Matt Ward, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Some residents were evacuated from a flats complex for a short period while officers worked with colleagues from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service to ensure the scene was safe.

“I’d like to thank residents affected for their understanding.

“The gas company is in attendance to make repairs.”
