Southwell residents raise more concern about King Street after it was pedestrianised to enforce social distancing regulations

Further concern has been raised regarding a street in Southwell that was pedestrianised to help enforce social distancing regulations.

The county council shut King Street, among others across Nottinghamshire, to all through traffic on June 22 — excluding access for resident, emergency or delivery vehicles.

Residents in the area have raised concern to the Advertiser over previous weeks that some cyclists, cars and vans were ignoring the road closure entirely.
