Reader’s letter: Response needed

The crackdown on town cut-throughs in Newark is the joke of the week.

I walked into town to pick up my copy of the Advertiser and surprise, surprise, motorists are still using Cartergate as a shortcut through town.

I have previously written to both Charlotte Ellam and also to Caroline Henry about the thorny problem of policing issues or rather, the lack of them in Newark's case.

Neither of these two ladies has had the courtesy of replying to my letters.

So if they don't reply to the electorate, how do they justify their enormous salaries with the benefits of a huge pension ahead of their term?

Any chance of a reply ladies? — C. HOBBY, Newark.
