When a month’s worth of rain fell across Nottinghamshire in just 24 hours, the resulting impact for one village was internal flooding at 12 properties.
It was witnessed in Lowdham on November 14, 2019, where the Cocker Beck reached its second highest level recorded.
Nottinghamshire County Council is the lead local authority for flooding and coordinated the emergency planning response as well as providing sandbags.
