Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service called to overturned lorry blocking Epperstone Road in Oxton, on its junction with Nottingham Road

An overturned lorry has blocked a busy junction causing heavy traffic.

At 10.47am this morning Nottinghamshire Police were called to Epperstone Road in Oxton, on its junction with Nottingham Road, following reports that a lorry had over turned.

No injuries have so far been reported from the incident.

Work is now underway to remove the lorry and clearing recycling and rubbish from the road — the vehicle is believed to be a recycling lorry.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue service are also in attendance and asked drivers to avoid the area if possible while the scene is made safe
