Road between the A52 and A46 closes as multiple crews work to extinguish Rushcliffe house fire

Crews from Newark and Bingham are responding to a Rushcliffe house fire which has closed a road between the A52 and A46.

Cropwell Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, is closed due to a house fire at a property on the street.

Firefighters from London Road, West Bridgford, Eastwood, Newark and Bingham Fire Stations are working to extinguish the fire, which began this afternoon.

It is expected the crews will be at the site of the fire for some time.

Nottinghamshire Police ask that members of the public avoid the area, and nearby residents keep their windows and doors closed.
