Road closure and traffic restriction around Newark and Sherwood for Nottingham Outlaw Triathlon road circuit

There will be travel disruption this weekend as a number of roads across the district will close for a triathlon event.

The Nottingham Outlaw Triathlon will start with a 2.4 mile swim at the National Water Sports Centre’s Regatta Lake, before a 112 miles cycle route takes athletes through the country roads and rural areas of Newark and Sherwood, before finishing up with a 26.2 miles run back at the Regatta Lake.

Although the race is due to start with the swim at sun rise, the timing of the road closures will be staggered throughout the day to accommodate the road cycling section of the triathlon.
