Severe delays have been reported on a major road due to road obstruction.

Delays of 11 minutes and increasing on the A1 Northbound between the Balderton and Claypole turn off and Newark Showground and Air Museum turn off were first reported at 3.09pm today (November 28) on the AA Traffic website.

The obstruction is affecting traffic between Grantham and Newark.

Drivers are to expect delays and are advised to avoid the area if possible.
