Road between A52 and A46 remains closed as four crews continue to extinguish Rushcliffe house fire

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue released an update about the house fire.

Crews from Newark, Bingham, London Road, West Bridgford and Eastwood stations attended the fire on Cropwell Road, Rushcliffe.

Four crews remain at the property.

At 4.30pm it was reported that the fire has been mostly extinguished, with some areas of the roof space still alight.

A structural engineer is in attendance to make sure the building is safe to enter.

Cropwell Road, between the A52 and A46, remains closed.

Residents near the fire were asked to avoid the area and keep their windows closed.
