NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited

(Company No. 9346363) has made an order on the A1 Trunk Road,

between Winthorpe and Blyth in the County of Nottinghamshire, to allow

routine maintenance works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to, at different times, –

(1) close any slip road or link road leading to or from –

(a) the northbound carriageway of the A1 from its junction with the

slip road leading to its roundabout junction with the A46 and

Lincoln Road, at Winthorpe, to its junction with the link road

leading from the B1164, at Carlton-on-Trent;

(b) the southbound carriageway of the A1 from its junction with

the link road leading from the B1164, at Carlton-on-Trent, to its

junction with th slip road leading from its roundabout junction

with the A46 and A17, at Winthorpe;

(c) the northbound carriageway of the A1 from its junction with

Newark Road, at Tuxford, to its junction with the slip road leading

from the dumbbell roundabout junction with the A614, the A57

and Mansfield Road, at Blyth; and

(d) the southbound carriageway of the A1 from its junction with the

slip road leading to the dumbbell roundabout junction with the

A614, the A57 and Mansfield Road, at Blyth, to its junction with

the link road leading from Ashvale Road, at Tuxford;

(2) prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding through any gap in

the central reservation of the lengths of A1 described in (1) (a), (b), (c)

and (d) above; and

(3) prohibit any vehicle from entering or leaving the lengths of A1 described

in (1) (a), (b), (c) and (d) above at its junction with any side road.

The work will be carried out in phases overnight between 20:00 hours

and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Wednesday 15 August 2018

and continue for one week, and on 8 October and continue for one week.

The Order will come into force on 10 August 2018.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance

purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be

exempt from the closures and prohibitions. Access to properties will be

maintained at all times.

Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A1 will be signed.
