A new salad bar has opened in Balderton.

Tasty, on Brisbane Court, sells healthy, local produce to customers six days a week.

Amy Turner, who runs the business along with her sister, Gemma, said: “We are trying to bring something new to the area that hasn’t been here before.

“We hope to be Newark’s first popular salad bar.”

The pair try to sell as many local products as possible, including local coffee and meat for their signature sandwich, the steak baguette.

Amy, 37, said that support from the community had been fantastic since the café opened last month.
