Newark Salvation Army to host community Christmas Fayre at Balderton church centre
A community Christmas Fayre is to take place this weekend, with craft stalls, face painting and more.
Newark’s Salvation Army, now with new captain Sarah O’Grady at the helm, is once again set to bring Christmas joy to the Newark community.
The fair will be held at the Salvation Army Church Centre, on Mead Way, Balderton, from 10am to 1pm tomorrow (November 30).
As well as handmade gifts, craft stalls and refreshments, there will also be a competition to win vouchers for a pet and family photoshoot.
Philip Anthony Photography has donated two vouchers, which are to be won on the day.
To enter, attendees simply need to bring a festive picture of their pets or family, with their name and contact number on the back, which will be pinned on a display board and the winner selected at the end of the fair.
Also in attendance will be the U3A ukulele group.
The fair will help raise funds to support the Salvation Army’s work in the community.
