School office manager Sharon Preston said: “Due to covid restrictions we could not have our usual harvest celebrations and asked for a voluntary donation of one or more items of cereal, jam, marmalade, dried pasta, rice, sauces in jars, tinned fish, tinned vegetables, tinned meat, tinned fruit and biscuits.

“It was a non-school uniform day and children were able to wear rainbow colours.

“Lover’s Lane Primary would like to say a huge thank you to all our families for the donations received.

“The school was overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness shown at these difficult times.”
