Just because a school is closed doesn’t mean it can’t still be at the heart of its community.
Lovers’ Lane Primary School, Newark, which is open to pupils who are vulnerable or the children of key workers, sends work home so pupils can continue their education — but is doing so much more besides.
Its website became the focal point of its school community, the reminder was when staff sent a personal message to their pupils to say they were missing them.
