Plans to start the repairs to a Scout group’s roof are being scuppered due to damage from overhanging trees.

Around £28,000 needs to be raised to modernise the 7th Newark Scout’s Hall, on Lovers’ Lane, so it can be used by future generations.

The hall has been used as a base for the Scouts since 1980, and needs urgent repairs to the roof, as well as replacing the floor, mending the carpark, which is full of potholes, and modernising the kitchen.
