Appeal for information on Jamie Poole who went missing from the Newark area

The community is being urged to keep an eye on river banks as searches for a 36-year-old father who went missing last week continue.

Jamie Poole was reported missing from the Newark area on Tuesday (October 28), having last been seen at around 5pm.

He is described as white, 6 feet 2 inches tall, with short dark brown/black hair and was wearing a dark red burgundy Superdry jacket.

He was also wearing black or blue Adidas jogging bottoms with black Nike trainers.

Despite search efforts continuing on land across the Newark area, teams are also searching the River Trent both by foot and boat and members of the community are being asked to ‘keep their eyes peeled’.

Jamie was last seen leaving his house on Middleton Road, Newark, at 5.07pm to go for his daily walk, which often takes around 40 minutes to an hour.

He was spotted on CCTV walking on Alexander Avenue at 5.31pm and then on Fleming Drive at 5.33pm.

Suspicions were first raised around 7.30pm/8pm on October 28 as Jamie was taking longer than usual on his walk. His partner, Brydie Cove tried ringing him, but his red iPhone was turned off.

Ever since the 36-year-old was reported missing, friends and family have been conducting searches for him and are appealing to members of the public to join them.

It was said that a member of the public contacted the Watersafe UK Search and Rescue Team charity and that Nottinghamshire Police are also engaged in the searches.

Anyone with any information on Jamie’s whereabouts, or who thinks they might have seen him, can contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 0660_28102025.
