Second degree black belt raises more than £500 for Rainbow Trust charity that supports terminally-ill children

A second degree black belt has raised more than £500 for a charity that supports terminally-ill children.

Sarah Harney, who has represented England in Poland as a taekwondo black belt, offered free outdoor sessions through the summer and, last month, hosted a kickathon to help raise funds for the Rainbow Trust.

She set up her business, Endeavour Taekwondo, in January and hosted sessions in Farnsfield and South Muskham village halls before the start of lockdown.

During back-to-back evenings of her charity kickathon event, students raised more than £500 by taking part in numerous challenges.

Sarah said it included speed tests, beanbag races, board breaking and high kicking challenges.
