Toot Hill School in Bingham confirms one positive case of coronavirus as Nottinghamshire gets ready for announcement of further restrictions
A secondary school and sixth form has confirmed a positive case of coronavirus.
Toot Hill School in Bingham recorded the single positive case of covid over the weekend, says the Nova Education Trust.
The student who has tested positive will be self-isolating in line with the government guidance, along with other members of the Year 10 bubble who have been identified as ‘close contacts’ of the student, following discussion with Public Health England.
The trust added: "All students who are isolating at home will continue to receive teaching via the school's remote working platforms, to ensure they do not fall behind in their learning.
"A letter has been sent home today to the parents/carers of all Toot Hill students informing them of the situation.
"Toot Hill will remain open to all other students and will continue to operate accordingly."
