Newark Athletic Club welcomes Newark Sports Association trustees to training night at the YMC sports hub
Newark Athletic Club welcomed the trustees of the Newark Sports Association (NSA) to one of its club training nights.
The NSA was involved in the early development of the YMCA sports hub, where the club trains.
Paul Lynch, former chairman of the club, showed trustees of the NSA around the track.
He said “For many years Newark Athletic Club had a big facilities problem and then a dream to solve it that not too many others believed was possible, but here it is.”
Mr Charles Lawrence, a trustee of the NSA, said: “I am so pleased that I and my former company have been able to play a role in the delivery of the athletics track.
“My then company did all the early plans and costings for the NSA and to see so many youngsters smiling clearly enjoying their themselves on a facility laid by Charles Lawrence Surfaces in my home town is gratifying.”
