Children learned about the solar system in an inflatable planetarium.
Around 100 year five pupils at Lowe’s Wong Junior School, Southwell, were given a talk in the planetarium as part of a science project on the solar system.
The inflatable silver dome was erected in the school hall and the pupils, aged nine and ten, crawled inside and were shown projections of the planets and the night sky.
The planetarium was provided by Mr Mike Morton of StarLincs of Sleaford.
Mr Morton spoke about the different planets and showed the children how to recognise constellations.
Year five teacher Mrs Marion Turner said the planetarium helped pupils learn about the solar system in a hands-on way.
