Beau and Brooke, Boar Lane, Newark had its shopfront window smashed
A town centre houseware shop had its shopfront window smashed in the early hours of Sunday (November 26).
The owner of Beau and Brooke, Boar Lane, Newark was left heartbroken after opening her shop` and seeing the broken window.
According to the shop’s CCTV camera, the incident happened at around 2.30am.
A man, who owner Jo Coops described to be in his 30s, was said to be walking with a beverage can in his hand, had turned around and kicked the window.
Jo said: “I can’t describe how I feel.
“This time of the year is when we need the most, to show our window displays and show people what we have and now it looks like I am closed.
“I feel angry and frustrated, I can’t understand why would people do this.
“I am speechless.”
Jo has been asking for quotes to repair the window and the initial price was for £450.
She hasn’t yet decided if she will pay to get the window repaired or put it through insurance, which could take a few weeks.
The crime has been reported to Nottinghamshire Police.
