A woman was sentenced after attempting to shoplift from The Original Factory Store in Ollerton.

A woman was sentenced this morning for attempting to steal £300 worth of t-shirts from a store.

A customer at The Original Factory Store in Ollerton alerted staff about the shoplifter in the store yesterday (December 6).

The staff managed to retrieve the t-shirts and reported it to the police along with a detailed description of the female.

Ollerton Beat Team sighted a female matching the description of the suspect and arrested her.

She was taken to custody, where she was charged and remanded for court this morning (December 7).

She was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison.
