Should Nottinghamshire County Council invest more money in road maintenance and pothole repairs? — Newark Advertiser's poll of the week

A man has companied about the standard of the roads near Newark Northgate Train Station, claiming they were a dangerous hazard that cannot be avoided.

Mr Duncan Rycroft said: “Is the council aware of the numerous deep potholes on the approach road to Newark Northgate railway station and, if so, is it planning to do anything about it?

“I drive down Appletongate most days and for cyclists, motor cyclists and motorists alike, they are a dangerous hazard that cannot be avoided because of the parked cars and volume of traffic, and goodness knows what it says about the town to first-time visitors.”
