Reader's letter: Show we care
In response to D. Hinchley’s letter (Do Your Job, News Views, July 15) migrant is a horrible word and easy to use as it classes people into a mass group.
Everyone of these migrants has a name, a face, a personality and a story to tell.
We are lucky in Britain, most of us will never have to go through what they have been through, — homes bombed, family members murdered.
It isn’t about the Home Secretary “doing her job” it’s about basic, decent humanity and caring.
I’m thankful we have human rights lawyers and there is a need for more of them.
We see it all the time, those outstanding footballers abused last weekend as is anyone with a foreign name or accent. I am sick to death of it. — MRS LINDSEY LYNCH, Coddington
