Newark man left wondering about future of signal box at Newark Castle train station
A decrepit looking railway signal box has been given half a make-over, leading to a Newark man appealing to Network Rail to finish the job.
The disused signal box at Newark Castle station, which used to control the level crossing, has been painted on the bottom half, but not the top.
The signal box has been a prominent feature of the town since it was built in 1912, but has not been used since the crossing was automated.
