Severe disruption for rail passengers at Newark Northgate after signalling fault at Peterborough
Rail passengers travelling from Newark Northgate are facing delays today (August 13) due to a fault with the signalling system at Peterborough.
National Rail says "all lines are blocked" through Peterborough, thereby affecting the east coast main line.
CrossCountry, East Midlands Trains, Grand Central, Greater Anglia, Hull Trains and LNER services are being severely disrupted.
Services are either being cancelled or facing delays of up to an hour, says National Rail.
Updates to follow.
