Reader’s letter: Slow down, and stay safe

In response to the story Plea To Drivers After Cat Hit By Car Dies (Advertiser. November 23). First of all, I am very sorry for the loss of your beloved pet, Coco, and, yes, drivers should slow down in built-up areas.

They race around thinking that there is nothing in their way to slow them down.

They should not be allowed to have a licence until they are 25 and more grown up.

This will be better for the animals and people as they cross the roads.

Think speed, and slow down.

Also, now it is getting dark earlier, children are leaving school in the dark. They should wear bright clothes to keep safe. — J. MOFFAT, Newark.
