Tallents Solicitors join in the Big Newark Sleep-out at the YMCA

Staff from Tallents Solicitors slept rough at the YMCA in Newark to help raise awareness of the young homeless.

Joining other local businesses, Team Tallents built cardboard shelters to brave the cold wintery night at the Big Newark Sleep Out.

Sue Shepperson said: “The sense of camaraderie was immense. It really made us think about the people who have to sleep rough every night. The hardship, loneliness and helplessness they go through must be overwhelming.

“It was amazing to be able to do very small thing to try and help.”

Together, Team Tallents have raised £3,100 so far for the YMCA and the Newark Emmaus Trust.

This year sees Tallents Solicitors celebrating and incredible 250 years in business as one of the oldest law firms in the UK.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, their staff will be taking part in a range of activities this year, all with the aim of helping local communities, residents and charities.

Next, they will be tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in April to fundraise for the Rosie May Foundation.
