Up to £500,000-worth cannabis found on Tolney Lane Traveller site, Newark and man arrested
Up to £500,000-worth of cannabis was discovered during a police raid in Newark yesterday (June 21).
Officers, supported by an aerial drone and police off-road quad bike, raided a series of mobile homes and shipping containers on the Tolney Lane Traveller site shortly after 6.30pm.
A total of 511 cannabis plants were recovered and a 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drugs offences. The raid is the latest in a string of high profile cannabis seizures for Nottinghamshire Police.
