Alice in Wonderland themed Spectacle of Light at Rufford Abbey Country Park in Nottinghamshire

One of the most beautiful after-dark attractions in Nottinghamshire is set to return from tomorrow.

The annual Spectacle of Light at Rufford Abbey Country Park is back and promises a mesmerising light displays from tomorrow to November 20.

This year is set around the theme of Alice in Wonderland, with scenes set up around the country park featuring the novel's iconic characters, from the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat to Alice herself.

In a video produced by Squashed Robot, audiences are invited into getting a glimpse of what to expect from a visit.

Visitors can also enjoy mulled wine and hot chocolate to keep warm as they follow the magical trail around the Abbey's beautiful grounds as well as hot food served in the Abbey Courtyard.

Tickets start from £11 for children and £22 for adults aged 16 and over.

For families of two adults and two children tickets are £57 and groups of 15 or more visitors can receive a 25% discount off the full price.

Today is also the last day to pre-book tickets for 10% off entry.

The light trail is open from 5pm to 7pm every day with each evening's spectacle a continuous experience with entry time slots every half hour.

Designated time slots are being used to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the spectacle in the best possible light without overcrowding.

When booking, time of entry can be decided subject to availability, although visitors must be at the entrance at the selected time as tickets are only valid for that time and are non transferable.
