Plans for a 30mph limit on a backroad near Balderton are in the works.

Fernwood Parish Council told residents they were communicating with both developers working off Hollowdyke Lane to enforce a 30mph speed limit on the country lane.

Signs were recently removed from the lane after they had been wrongly placed and without a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order.

A spokesman for the council said: “We are currently working with both developers working off Hollowdyke Lane and Via East Midlands to get a 30mph limit on Hollowdyke Lane.

“Via East Midlands have asked Barratt David Wilson to provide an improved signage plan to make it clear to construction traffic not to come through the village.”
