Speeding and uninsured drivers among the latest cases from Nottingham Magistrates’ Court




A driver caught speeding at over 100mph is among the latest cases from Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.

Benjamin Waddell, 30, of Hill Drive, Bingham, pled guilty to speeding in a Lexus on the A46 at Widmerpool, Nottinghamshire.

His speed was recorded at 108mph, while the limit was 70mph.

Waddell was fined £250 and ordered to pay costs of £190.

He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 56 days.

Citroen driver Adrian Podciechowski, 21, of Yorke Drive, Newark, pled guilty to driving without insurance on Albert Street.

No points were added to his license as the court heard Podciechowski had been misled as he had not been made aware his insurance company had cancelled his insurance.

He was fined £66 and ordered to pay costs of £111.

Another uninsured driver was among the latest cases before Magistrates’.

Ford driver John Stone, 52, of The Green, Bilsthorpe, was fined £360 for the offence which took place on Jubilee Way North.

He had pled guilty, had six points added to his license and avoided disqualification due to the impact it would have on his elderly mother and his son.

Stone was also ordered to pay costs of £234.
