Newark’s Supplements For Sport Vending launches campaign to encourage men to talk about mental health

A sports supplements business has launched a campaign to encourage men to talk about their mental health.

The #realstrength initiative has been organised by Newark’s Supplements For Sport Vending.

Tim Johnstone, from the company, said: “We have recognised that mental health issues among young men have been brought to the fore and the tougher times experienced through isolation.

“Every two hours someone in the UK takes their own life. Men are three times more likely to commit suicide.

“The Real Strength Campaign is to challenge male stereotypes and engage and empower men to talk and express their feelings earlier.”

The initiative is being backed by Anytime Fitness gym on Castlegate and Epic Golden Gloves Boxing Club in Newark, which Tim helps run.
