It is believed the robbers left the scene in a white van.

The staff member wasn't hurt.

A spokesman of Traffix UK Ltd said they did not want to comment on the robbery until the investigation comes to a conclusion.

Detective Sergeant Luke Todd, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of the old RAF Newton base around the time of the robbery or who saw a white van leaving the scene.

"We are also carrying out enquiries locally and CCTV footage is being reviewed."

Anyone who has information about the incident is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 1093 of October 2, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
