Star performer

By NewarkAdvertiser Reporter

Congraulations Jean Robinson. What a trouper. Thanks for the memories (The Show Goes On As Performer Is Rewarded For Her Long Service, Advertiser, April 5).

In my opinion she was the best performer ever in the operatic society — in my time anyway.

I am now 85 and joined the society in 1959-60 and I was in many of the shows that Jean starred in, both in Newark and Lincoln.

She was so dedicated. I always felt she should have gone professional.

I am so pleased to hear she is still entertaining — she will never retire.

All the best Jean, you are a star. — A. Kirkham, Caunton (Full address supplied).
