Stay away from the grounds, stay at home and take advantage of unprecedented access to football league, say Nottinghamshire Police

With Nottingham Forest returning to action today, Nottinghamshire Police has backed the English Football League in encouraging supporters to stay away and tune in to all remaining 201 matches from home.

In a statement released on the English Football League website, the EFL said: “The EFL have a proud history of developing innovative new ways to attract supporters through the turnstiles, but the message has been reversed in line with football’s return on a behind closed doors basis with the safety of fans, club personnel and the frontline services the principle priority.
