Weather station at Beacon Hill, Newark records daily and monthly rain records thanks to Storm Babet

Record rainfall has been recorded during Storm Babet at an amateur weather station in Nottinghamshire.

Paul Merritt's weather station in Beacon Hill, Newark recorded 67mm of rain on Friday, October 20.

To put that in perspective — June is historically the wettest month on average and Newark normally sees around 72mm of precipitation for that entire period.
