Storm Eunice: Yellow weather warning for Newark and Sherwood as strong winds forecast

Strong winds are set to batter the country later this week as Storm Eunice arrives in the UK.

A yellow weather warning has been issued for the whole of England on Friday, meaning significant disruption is likely to be caused.

The Met Office has put the warning in place from midnight on Friday, February 18, until 9pm the same day.

A statement on the Met Office website said there is a small chance that flying debris, such as trees being brought down, could cause a danger to life.

There is also a warning for possible power cuts, as well as a disruption to public transport.

Similar yellow and amber warnings are also in place further north for Wednesday and Thursday connected to Storm Dudley.
