William Gladstone Church of England Academy pupils enjoy special Christmas surprise including snow machine
Pupils at William Gladstone Church of England Academy, Newark, had a very special Christmas surprise when they arrived at school on the last day of term.
They arrived to snow falling, carols being sung by the staff team, and a warm welcome from Father Christmas himself.
It was to thank them for their hard work this year and to celebrate the school’s recent Ofsted inspection that recognised the hard work that is taking palce every day in the rapidly improving school.
Head Sarah Clarke said: “This has been a truly magical experience day for our children who really deserved to end the term in a celebratory style.
“We are so proud of them all for their work ethic, their kindness to each other, and their determination to achieve great things.
“We are looking forward to the new year and all the challenges that lie ahead.
“This marks the start of the next stage of our journey towards providing outstanding provision for the children in our school community and we would like to thank all parents and families for their support over the last year and we wish them all a very merry Christmas.”
