Nottinghamshire Police arrest suspect in Cotgrave assault investigation
Police investigating a serious assault that left a man in hospital have arrested a suspect.
Officers were called to Grassmere, Cotgrave, after the incident at around 6.45pm on Wednesday evening when the victim, a man in his twenties, was assaulted.
He remains in hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
A 31-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Thursday) afternoon on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He was later released on conditional bail.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, said: “This was a nasty assault that left a man in hospital.
“We are currently investigating what happened and have now arrested a suspect.”
