Operation Reacher officers pursue car that immediately made off in Newark before finding it abandoned in Farndon




Officers from Operation Reacher allegedly spotted a car in Newark that immediately made off.

A pursuit was authorised and officers briefly lost the Passat before it was abandoned in Farndon near to the River Trent.

Officers from Rota4, Rota2 and Newark safer neighbourhoods policing team — along with Nottinghamshire Police operational support — quickly flooded the area to search for the two males who were seen in the vehicle.

Along with the help and support from members of the local community, one of the males was quickly located and arrested.

The second male tried his best to outrun an operational support vehicle across an open field, but failed.
