TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRIDLEWAY THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (NEWARK BRIDLEWAY NO. 6) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the

Nottinghamshire County Council intends

not less than seven days from the date

of this Notice to make an Order, under

Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

No person shall:-

(a) proceed on foot,

(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,

(c) cause any horse to proceed and

(d) cause any animal to proceed,

in the following length of bridleway at

Newark in the District of Newark and

Sherwood:-

Newark Bridleway No. 6 between

grid reference points SK 8008 5573

and SK 8009 5580, a distance of 90

metres.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will

apply as follows:-

From Tuesday, 15th May 2018 until

Tuesday, 31st July 2018 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER

GIVEN that during the period of

restriction there will be an alternative

non definitive route for pedestrians only,

which will be signed on site. There is no

alternative route for Bridleway users.

The prohibition shall apply to enable

works to be carried out and in respect

of the likelihood of danger to the public

and damage to the footpath. It may

also apply on subsequent days when it

shall be necessary. If the works are not

completed within 6 months, the Order

may be extended.

The prohibition is required to enable

the laying of pipework connecting the

new pumping station to the exising

River Trent outfall, and in respect of the

likelihood of danger to the public and

damage to the footpath.

THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE

EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING

CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED

THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 26TH

DAY OF APRIL 2018.
