A care home inspired by Wimbledon has visited Newark Tennis Club to watch some live action.
Lancaster Grange, in Fernwood, visited the club’s home courts off London Road to watch a social tennis session.
Chairman of the tennis club Andy Cole said: “The event clearly brought back fond memories of days gone by when tennis was a popular activity.
“As a friendly, community, inclusive tennis club we always welcome visitors, regardless of age or ability.”
Charlotte Thompson, activity coordinator at Lancaster Grange, said: “Andy and the members made us feel extremely welcome and our residents were thrilled to watch the doubles games live, which generated many happy memories for our ladies. “
Charlotte said she had planned another visit to the Newark courts.
