NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the

Nottinghamshire County Council intends

not less than seven days from the date

of this Notice to make an Order, under

Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984. The effects will be in respect

of roads at Newark on Trent in the

District of Newark and Sherwood: -

Vehicles are prohibited from

proceeding in the following length of

road: -

B6326 Great North Road, from its

junction with Tolney Lane to its

junction with Ossington Way.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition

respecting the above road or roads will

apply as follows (as and when legally

signed): -

From 00:01 hours on Saturday 6th

January 2018 until 23:59 hours on

Monday 15th January 2018 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER

GIVEN that during the period of the

restriction the alternative route will be

via:

B6326 Great North Road, A46, Farndon

Roundabout, B6166 Farndon Road,

B6166 Victoria Street, B6166 Portland

Street, B6166 Lombard Street, B6166

Castle Gate, B6326 Beast Market Hill

and Vice Versa.

The Order will come into force on 6th

January 2018 and any prohibition

in it shall apply on that day and any

subsequent day when necessary to

enable works to be carried out. The

Order shall continue in force until the

works are completed (within a maximum

period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable

Severn Trent Water to carry out works to

install a new water connection as part of

the Newark Sewer Scheme.
