NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the

Nottinghamshire County Council HAS

MADE an Order under the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984, as amended,

Traffic Management Act 2004, as

amended, and The Civil Enforcement

of Parking Contraventions (County of

Nottinghamshire) Designation Order

2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended,

the effects of which will be to roads in

Newark on Trent in the District of Newark

and Sherwood:-

1. to prohibit waiting at any time at

the following locations,

(i) BALDERTON GATE (NEWARK ON

TRENT) - (the north-east side)

from a point 6 metres north-west of

its junction with Whitfield Street in

a south-easterly direction to

a point 6 metres south-east of the

same junction.

(ii) WHITFIELD STREET (NEWARK

ON TRENT) – (both sides)

from its junction with Balderton Gate

in a north-easterly direction for a

distance of 6 metres.

2. Parking Bay – All vehicles –

Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5pm – 1

hour parking with no return

within 1 hour

WHITFIELD STREET (NEWARK

ON TRENT) – (the south-east

side)

from a point 6 metres north-east

of its junction with Balderton Gate

in a north- easterly direction

for a distance of 13 metres.

3. New Residents Parking Area on

the following roads

BARNBY GATE - from a point 45

metres south-east of its junction

with Sherwood Avenue in

a south-easterly direction to a point

5 metres north-west of its junction

with Whitfield Street. CHARLOTTE

CLOSE, NEW STREET, WHITFIELD

STREET - from a point 13

metres south-west of its junction with

Barnby Gate in a south- w e s t e r l y

direction to a point 34 metres northeast

of its junction with Balderton

Gate. WILLIAM STREET.

The double yellow lines are intended

to keep the junction clear of parked

vehicles. The parking bay is to ensure

that there is space for short term

parking during the day. The residents

parking area is intended to remove nonresident

parking to leave more space for

residents to park.
